Maybe you’ve had a box of cookie dough “bites’ at the movies. Now, thanks to Detroit Dough, you can savor a whole 6-ounce cup of the yummy stuff.
The startup, created by local mom Victoria Washington and Autumn Kyles, is serving its chocolate chip flavor at Emagine theaters in Canton and Macomb Township, along with its latest addition of the Novi locale this May.

The markets will also include mobile carts along Woodward run by Detroit Dough, Detroit Marshmallow Co. and Susan’s Tart Shop.

Detroit Dough LLC took home $10,000 on Wednesday as winner of a pitch competition put on by beer giant Sam Adams in partnership with the Build Institute.
In addition to the grant, Sam Adams will provide the Detroit-based sweet treat startup a year of coaching.
Detroit Dough competed against four other teams of local entrepreneurs in front of a panel of six judges at Jam Handy in Detroit. The competition was followed by a speed-coaching event where local business owners received assistance from experts in sales, accounting, business plans, design, marketing and social media.

The year-old company serves cookie dough in two sizes (4 ounces and 6 ounces) and five flavors: chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter, brownie and “Hold My Chips,” which is standard cookie dough flavor without the chocolate chips.
